CULTURES
BRUSSELS—Fifty-three international exhibitors specializing
in antiquities, tribal, and Asian art will be
showing at the next edition of Cultures —The World’s
Art Fair from June 12–16, 2019. This event was born
of the merger of three major shows: BRUNEAF (the
Brussels Non-European Art Fair), BAAF (the Brussels
Ancient Art Fair), and AAB (Asian Art in Brussels).
The Sablon neighborhood in Brussels will once again
be teeming with activity will and become the setting
for convivial encounters between aficionados and experts,
dealers, and museum curators from all over the
globe, who will all attend to share their passion for art
and slake their thirst for discovery.
A thematic exhibition on Australian Aboriginal art
has been announced that will be held at the Aboriginal
Signature Estrangin Gallery. Titled Explosion, it will
feature the work of major initiated Spinifex Aboriginal
artists including the last nomad of Australia. Those
with an interest in the show who won’t be able to be
in Brussels for Cultures needn’t panic. Explosion will
remain on view through June 29.
