Often displayed at funerals of great chiefs, the motif of a Porisitutu may be interpreted
to be a genealogical diagram linking the deceased to an infi nite array of interlacing
ancestors. The former owner, Laurence Moss, is a celebrated anthropologist/economist
with signifi cant contributions to the fi eld of Indonesian Studies. Exhibited: Fabric
